Version 5.4 of the software focuses on easier process integration, using plug-ins that can be operated via the REST interface as well as controlled by a Schneider Electric Modicon PLC®. The software also can acquire images with both short and long exposure times when dealing with a poorly lit object, which are then merged into a single image. Nonstreaming devices like lighting can also be utilized within MERLIC using this method.
