Photonics on the Showroom Floor and in the Lab - LIGHT MATTERS 02.2018
On this month's episode of Light Matters, we take you on a brief tour of the Higgins Laboratories at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Quinsigamond Community College and WPI received a $4M grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to launch a Photonics Academy Lab for Education & Application Prototypes (LEAP); the Higgins Laboratories will be a big part of that. We also take you to the photonics industry's premier event, Photonics West in San Francisco, as over 1,300 companies showed off their latest innovations. And, we introduce you to the 2018 Prism Award winners.
